Aprender cómo decir las fechas en inglés, tanto en inglés británico como inglés americano es muy sencillo. En este post te explicamos cómo hacerlo.
DÍAS
Los días de las fechas se expresan utilizando los números ordinales o sus correspondientes abreviaturas en las fechas escritas:

MESES
Los meses se escriben siempre con mayúscula:

AÑOS
La lectura de los años depende del número de cifras que tengan los mismos:
a) Años de 2 cifras
Se dice el número del año. Ej: año 45: year forty-five.
b) Años de 3 cifras
Se dice el número tal cual o se añade and después de las centenas. Ej: año 130: year one hundred (and) thirty.
c) Años de 4 cifras hasta 1999
Se suelen decir los dos primeros números y después los dos segundos. Ej: año 1917: year nineteen seventeen.
Cuando la penúltima cifra es un cero se dicen los dos primeros números + o + el último número. Ej: año 1906: year nineteen-o-six.
Si las dos últimas cifras son ceros se dicen los dos primeros números + hundred. Ej: Año 1.600: year sixteen hundred.
d) Años de 4 cifras a partir del 2000
Se dice el número tal cual o se añade and después de las centenas. Ej: año 2014: year two thousand (and) fourteen.
